    Idolatry
One of the major themes of the Bible is God’s admonition not to substitute false idols for the true and living God. Not only does idolatry include erecting fake, physical or mental idols, but it also includes false teachings about the true God. How do we stay loyal to the true God and who He truly is? How can we preserve ourselves by His power from the false notions implanted by Rome even into evangelical mindsets? Material on this page will expose Rome’s various ruses to compromise Bible believers and hold Catholics hostage to false gods.

    Idolatry at the Present Time

By Richard Bennett and Abner Araujo Nowadays, on a popular level, the word “idol” means only an image of a false god, or a heathen deity. However, in Bible and theology dictionaries, the word “idol” means “the worship of Jehovah by means of images,”1 or “the worship of Jehovah under image or symbol.”2 “Idolatry, strictly Read More

The Passion of Christ – Mel Gibson’s Vivid Deception

By Richard Bennett and J. Virgil Dunbar There seldom had been a movie that had created such favorable publicity and anticipation in the Evangelical community than The Passion of Christ.  A tidal wave of excitement swept the church and the movie world.  On Catholic Ash Wednesday, 2004, the film appeared in theaters across America.  Evangelical Read More

The Practice of Idolatry Within the Church

By Richard Bennett and Randall Paquette Praise for Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ” resounded from pulpit to pew.  It is evident that there are many Christians who, without reservation, are prepared to accept movies about “Christ,” even one in the Catholic tradition.  The question, therefore, that must be asked is this: In the Read More

Idolatry in the Evangelical Camp – Pictures of “Christ” or the Glory of God?

By J. Virgil Dunbar and Richard Bennett It seems as if most denominations use Warner Sallman’s “Head of Christ” painting, or images like it.  These pictures obviously are acceptable images of “Christ” for modern Christians.  But in the light of Scripture, can they really be excluded from falling under the Second Commandment? Pictures of “Christ” Are Idols, Read More

Is John Paul II Truly Blessed in the Sight of God?

When Pope John Paul II was alive, he traveled to many different nations of the world receiving a great deal of adulation and veneration. Since his death in 2005, he continued to be adored across the world. Soon, however, the Catholic Church officially designed the religious devotion. From May 1st 2011, the date of his canonization, people would be instructed not only to show him religious veneration, but also were urged to pray to him.
Thus, it is most important that we answer the question, Is John Paul II blessed in the sight of God? What is at stake is the salvation of souls, because worship and prayer to a dead human negates essential biblical truths foundational to the Gospel. We carefully document from his official position in the Vatican what the former Pope instructed people to believe. We also outline exactly what are the consequences of worship shown to a human being.

The Mindset of Catholicism Permeating Evangelicalism

Richard Bennett highlights the Catholic Church’s official teaching that people are spiritually wounded rather than being spiritually dead in trespasses and sins and in need of conviction and conversion. He shows how this same mindset has become the basis of the so-called gospel message in the New Evangelical movement and its churches. The Catholic mindset of propagating images of Christ now accepted in New Evangelical churches in pictures of Christ, Sunday school materials and DVDs is shown
to be the most dangerous of the Catholic mindsets to pervade Christian circles.
